A vision is something seen in a dream, trance, or religious ecstasy, especially a supernatural appearance that usually conveys a revelation.〔http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/vision〕 Visions generally have more clarity than dreams, but traditionally fewer psychological connotations.
